Certified Home Health Aide

Our Certified Home Health Aide, as a part of our health team, will make it possible for people to remain at home rather than use residential, long-term or institutional-based nursing care. Home Health Aide renders services in the client’s own home. These services may include a combination of professional health care services and in-home care services.

Our certified home health caregivers will assist skilled nurses and provide independent help with activities of daily living and household tasks as directed by our nursing staff and per patient’s family requests.

Primary responsibilities of Certified Home Health Aide include but are not limited to:

• Record client’s progress and condition

• Work under direct supervision of a nurse

• Administer medications

• Change dressings

• Provide skin care

• Assist with braces and artificial limbs

• Assist with medical equipment

• Pick up medication

• Check patient’s pulse rate, temperature, and respiration rate

• Help patient perform prescribed physical therapy exercises

• Assist with placement of bedpan or urinal

• Prepare food and feed patient

• Teach self-care skills

• Perform light housekeeping

• Provide patient with groceries

• Transport patient to the doctor’s office, etc.

Certified Home Health Aide will observe confidentiality and safeguard all patient’s related information. He/she will also closely work with our registered nurses and patient’s physician to cater the best health care possible and according to our patient’s individual needs.
