Our certified Respiratory Therapists effectively treat and educate patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. These professionals provide their help in anything from complex diagnostic procedures and supervision of respiratory equipment to educating and supporting patient’s family members.
Among our patients are people who experienced a stroke or had a heart attack, have sleep apnea, cystic fibrosis, emphysema, chronic bronchitis or asthma. Managing ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients who can’t breathe on their own is also one of the main responsibilities of our physical therapy professionals.
Respiratory therapists work closely with their patients’ physicians and other health professionals to develop an individualized health care plan. They also guide patients and their families on how to use ventilators and life-support systems at home.
